If you’ve been looking for a place to make real friends, try new things, and grow into your confidence… you just found it.
Washington Idaho Rainbow is for girls ages 11–20 who want to be part of something bigger—something fun, meaningful, and actually worth showing up for.
Let’s be real—joining something new can feel a little intimidating.
But Rainbow isn’t about being perfect. It’s about showing up, trying things, and figuring it out together.
You’ll:
You don’t have to be “the confident one” to join. That’s what you become here.
“I joined Rainbow when I was 15, looking for some friends my age that lived in my area. I’ve found not only lifelong friends in my neighborhood and across the country, I found people who continuously help me grow in my leadership skills and service to others. I have found community that supports me in more than just fun and socialization, but in personal growth and success.” — Addie, Rainbow Girl
“I joined Rainbow when I was 11. Rainbow helped me build confidence, find my voice, and learn to present myself even when I was nervous. Now, I get to share that same experience with my daughter as she builds memories, leadership skills, and friendships across the country. I would recommend Rainbow to any family looking for a supportive place where girls can grow, lead, serve, and become more confident in who they are.” — Courtney, Alumni
“Rainbow has made such a big impact on my life. It has taught me skills that I wouldn’t have learned outside of Rainbow, such as memorization skills, boldness, integrity, accountability, responsibility, and so much more.Rainbow will also bring you so many friends that you never would’ve thought you needed along with such a great community. I don’t know what life would look like without Rainbow in it.” — Pendy, Rainbow Girl
We know this decision matters.
Rainbow is a structured, well-supported environment where girls are encouraged to grow, take on responsibility, and build confidence—with trained adult advisors there to guide and support them along the way.
It’s a place where girls are:
You’ll always know your daughter is in a safe, respectful environment where she can grow into her full potential.
Any girl ages 11–20 can join Rainbow. You don’t need to have any prior connection or experience.
We’ve got you too. 💫

So many things! While providing a safe space, we have FUN while performing community service, charitable fundraising, movie nights, themed meetings, scavenger hunts, sleepovers, camping (at one of our two camps), new member and leadership activities…really anything the girls want to plan!
Rainbow was founded in 1922 with values rooted in service and character development. While we honor traditions, membership is open to girls of all faith backgrounds.
Rainbow has historical ties to the broader Masonic family. Today, adult volunteers from that community help mentor and support our girls. Membership is open to all eligible girls.
Most Assemblies meet twice per month, with additional service projects, social activities, and special events throughout the year.
Participation is flexible. Many girls choose to become deeply involved in leadership roles, while others participate at a level that fits their schedule.
Great! We’d love to chat and answer any other questions you have. Reach out at the link below and one of us will be in touch soon.
