GRAND SESSIONS OF WASHINGTON IDAHO RAINBOW GIRLS

July 11 – 13, 2008

GENERAL INFORMATION

 

If you need special assistance to fully participate in Grand Assembly, please contact Denise Kerr, Director of Grand Sessions at databasemanager@speakeasy.net

 

REGISTRATION - The enclosed registration forms are your responsibility to complete properly and must be sent in no later than May 15 to the Finance Chairman.  Registrations received after the deadline will be processed last.  If you are arriving on Wednesday or Thursday, your packets may be picked up at the Red Lion Hotel. Starting Friday morning you can pick up your packets at the Sundome Registration Desk.

 

Everyone attending Grand Assembly MUST REGISTER.  The Registration Badge MUST BE WORN AT ALL SESSIONS AND EVERYONE MUST HAVE A CURRENT DUES CARD, PARENT CARD OR MAJORITY CARD

 

REGISTRATION – The Registration package is for 4 per room at $200; (3/room = $225 per person; 2/room = $250 per person; 1/room - $360 per room) and includes 3 nights housing, 5 regular meals; Friday – lunch and dinner; Saturday – lunch & dinner; Sunday – meal will be after morning session is over.  Please note if there are any dietary requests or restrictions please contact Denise Kerr at databasemanager@speakeasy.net.

 

SPECIAL MEALS – No tickets available at the door.  You must pre-register!

 

Grandie Party – Thursday, July 10 – This dinner is for all Grand Officers, Pages, Deputies, Directors, GEC, State Mom & Dad, Out of State Guests, and parents or guardians and will be held at the Red Lion.  There will be a $15 per person charge for guests and they must be signed up on the Grand Officer/Page registration form.

 

New Member/Sponsor Lunch – Friday, July 11, Noon – This lunch is for all new members initiated between July 1, 2007 – June 30, 2008 and their sponsors.  There is no extra charge for the special meal with the package but you must sign up on your registration form.

 

Grand Cross Breakfast & Ceremony – Saturday, July 12, 7:00 am, at the Sundome – Breakfast will be served upstairs at 7:00 am followed by the Bread Ceremony. The Ceremony will begin at 8:30 AM at the Sundome.  Please sign up on your registration form.

 

Distinguished Guests Banquet – Friday, July 11, 5:00 pm – This dinner is for all Distinguished Guests, Grand Officers, Pages and their parents, Grand Deputies, GEC Members, Washington Idaho Mother Advisors and Rainbow Dads.  There is no extra charge for the special meal with the package but you must sign up on your registration form.

 

Voting Delegates Lunch – Saturday, July 12, 12:00 pm – This lunch is for all Grand Officers, Pages, Past Worthy Advisors, and Worthy Advisors who are registered as a voting delegate.  Special sign-up is not needed.

 

Adult Worker’s Lunch Honoring Mother Advisors – Saturday, July 12, 12:00 pm – This lunch is for all Adult Workers, Mother Advisors, Assistant Mother Advisors, Board Members, GEC members and Grand Deputies.  There is no extra charge for the special meal with the package but you must sign up on your registration form.

 

Just Guys Dinner – Saturday, July 12, 5:00 pm – This dinner is for all Rainbow Dads and male adult workers.  There is no extra charge for the special meal with the package but you must sign up on your registration form.

 

Past Grand Officer’s Dinner – Saturday, July 12, 5:00 pm – This dinner is for all Past Grand Officers, Past Grand Pages, and Past Grand Adults.  There is a special package you can purchase for $40 per person which includes Saturday & Sunday Registration and the PGO Dinner on Saturday.  There is no extra charge for the special meal with the full registration package but you must sign up on your registration form.

 

Grand Reps/Correspondent’s Dinner – Saturday, July 12, 5:00 pm – This dinner is for all Correspondents, Grand Representatives and their visiting counterparts.  There is no extra charge for the special meal with the package but you must sign up on your registration form.

 

Line Officer Breakfast – Sunday, July 13, 7:00 am – This breakfast is for all elected Officers including Recorder and Treasurer.  There is no extra charge for the special meal with the package but you must sign up on your registration form.

 

CHAPERONES - There must be at LEAST 1 chaperone for every 6 girls attending Grand Assembly.  Girls aged 11 & 12 must have one (1) adult for every 2 girls.  The younger girls are not allowed to go anywhere on their own, and the adult in charge of these girls must be over 20 years of age.  This ruling is made by the Supreme Officer.

 

HOUSING – Housing will be at the Red Lion Hotel and Fairfield Inn (across from Staples) and 3 nights are included in the packages.  Additional nights can be purchased $80/room/nite on the registration form.

 

MEDICAL / PERMISSION FORMS - There is a copy of this form in your packet.  Please photocopy and give each girl 2 copies to have signed.  Submit 1 signed original for each Rainbow girl with your registration packet.  Keep other copy with you during Grand Assembly.  Packets will not be given out without forms on file.  Medical forms are a legal requirement under the insurance policy.  This includes all Rainbow girls over 18. 

 

SESSIONS – The sessions will be open/closed as follows:

Friday, July 11                2:00 PM          Open for Entrance, then the session will be closed for Ritual Opening

and Initiation

Friday                             7:00 PM          Open Session

Saturday, July 12           10:00 AM         Closed for formal introductions then open for Memorial Service

Saturday                         2:00 PM          Open Session

Saturday                         7:00 PM          Open Session

Sunday, July 13               9:00 AM          Open for most of the session & Majority then closed for Ritual Closing

Sunday                           5:30 PM          Installation - Open
